Currently there are many environmental initiatives in operation at JIMMY POSSUM, in both our production base and in our retail stores. 	WOOD IS GOOD, ACTUALLY!
	We all know that wood comes from trees.  However, 50% of Australians surveyed recently didn’t realise that wood is good for the environment, and that wood stores carbon.
	JIMMY'S ALWAYS USED VICTORIAN NATIVE HARDWOOD.
	JIMMY POSSUM has, from its inception 13 years ago, used Victorian native hardwood, and has always sourced superior quality, ‘boutique’ timber.  None of the wood used by JIMMY POSSUM is imported tropical timbers which, it is widely believed, may be sourced from illegally logged Asian rainforests.
	THE AUSTRALIAN TIMBER INDUSTRY.
	As a natural resource the supply of wood is carefully managed and monitored under regulatory frameworks both at State and Federal Government levels.
	AUSTRALIAN FORESTS - STORING CARBON & HELPING REDUCE OUR EMISSIONS.
	Australian commercial forests and the products they produce are helping to offset Australia's total yearly greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 10%.
