Margot and Alan (Directors... and the ones in the middle with the beautiful bub on Margot's knee!)Together, Alan and Margot are the Possum Parents. They share seven sensational children, lead a team of 150+ Possums, own a business they're incredibly proud of, and support regional Victoria in a very positive way. They're artists, teachers, parents (and Grandparents!), employers, musicians, painters, designers, managers, dreamers, problem solvers, hard workers, party organisers, public speakers, and award winners. They work hard and play hard. Wow, what a pair! Eliza (Daughter) - Business Sustainability Coordinator... and the one to the left of Alan. Eliza has worked full time at Jimmy Possum since May 2005, but has worked many a school holiday denailing, finishing, or in reception. She graduated from Melbourne University in 2005 with degrees in Arts (Politics) and Commerce (Economics), however she also spent time in Nottingham, England studying. She began as Retail Coordinator at JP and has now changed positions to become our Business Sustainability Coordinator. This involves working on long term strategic projects by analysing our 'quadruple bottom line': the economic, social, environmental and family aspects of JIMMY POSSUM to ensure that our company prospers well into the future! Nola (Cousin) - Sales Consultant... and the one with the super stylish shoes to the right of Margot. Nola and Margot grew up together, sleeping top and tail, and they're more like sisters than cousins. Nola joined JIMMY POSSUM about two years ago, initially commuting from Bendigo. Now, she's got a new place in Elwood, a seriously spunky car and a whole new lease of life. She's also a JPRHS (JIMMY POSSUM Retail Hot Shot) and helps interstate whenever possible - what a treasure. Georgia (Daughter) - Marketing and Merchandising Manager... and the one standing directly behind Nola wearing her trademark red lipstick! Georgia has a well-heeled foot in two camps; Marketing and Merchandising. After completing her degree in Industrial Design, Georgia joined JP and has consistently managed to keep every store in every state looking completely fabulous, year in and year out, whilst flaunting a gorgeous smile and bright red lips! Georgia is also responsible for designing layouts for new stores, driving JP's advertising and marketing campaigns, managing her team of marketers, and spend her remaining time (yeah, right!) conceptualising new product development ideas for JP stores. Todd (Son) - Design and Development Coordinator... and the one standing above Margot and Alan, sporting one of his many pairs of fantastic specs! After years and years at JP, currently in the area of overseeing the development and prototyping of new products, Todd's decided to re-acquaint himself with the factory floor. He's opted to spend one day a week working in the factory, for his own professional development (so, his mother was right when she said "you should have done your apprenticeship"). Todd and Will also recently went halves in a boat, so they now spend half their week applying moisturiser to their sunburn! Jessica (Daughter) - Painter and Artist in Residence... and the one wearing the brilliant hat! Jessica and her son, Louis, moved up to Bendigo about a two years ago. Jess works as a painter and (along with Margot and Alan or 'Mimi and Pa' to Louis)) is responsible for a fair amount of the fabulous contemporary art found in every JIMMY POSSUM store. The JIMMY POSSUM painting studio is an extension of the house, so Louis gets to crawl about in a creative (and often messy) environment, whilst learning his colours from either the paintings or Mimi's shoe collection. Okty (Sister-in-Law) - Administration... and the one to the left of Jess. Okty is Margot's sister-in-law and joined JP when she moved to Australia from Indonesia a few years ago. Having run her own Economics Analysis Consultancy in Jakarta for many years, Okty is a dab hand at performing the myriad of tasks required by a big retail set-up. And, Okty's a mother of two, Greg and Danny. Emily (Daughter) - Retail Development Coordinator... and the 'voice of JP' to the left of Jess. Emily joined the JIMMY POSSUM team in 2005 after spending about 9 years in the superannuation industry in various administrative roles based in Melbourne, with some time spent abroad in the UK. A big focus of Emily's job is helping the Retail side of the business operate in line with the aim, values, and branding that is so important to JIMMY POSSUM. More particularly she provides sales and systems support to the managers of our five stores, as well as coordinating the movement and professional development of all our Retail team. Emily's creative side still flourishes in her writing contributions to our fabulous marketing campaigns. Will (Cousin. Nola's son) - Human Resource Assistant... and he's sitting on the far left. Will is the JP HR Assistant and looks after loads of different areas relating to Possum people. He has been instrumental in rolling out the JP Health Program within the factory. Will actually started his working days at JP working on the factory floor, but now finds himself in the upstairs office, causing havoc alongside Todd, as they have been doing together since Grade One. Lucy (Daughter) - Primary Teacher in Training... and the one on the far right. Lucy tossed the coin between fashion design and teaching as her preferred course of study. Her desire to teach in Africa one day means that she has now nearly completed her teaching Degree. With both parents qualified teachers we reckon she'll probably make it through! Lucy also plays basketball for the Bendigo Lady Braves (so she's quite accustomed to her photo being on the front page of the newspaper, although she's been knocked off by Margot, of late). Sam (Son) - Standing to the right of Todd. Sam doesn't make tables and chairs, he fixes arms and legs for a living! Although, in his spare time, Sam has managed to build a rather swish deck and ever-so-sweet looking shed in their backyard! Olivia (Daughter-in-Law) - The one keeping control of the two little boys! Liv is a chef and is now in training to become a teacher of apprentice chefs. Liv's also been lending a cookery hand to a catering company and keeping the little tackers (Ollie and Jack) in check. What a busy woman! Ollie, Jack and Louis (Grandsons). It was 42 degrees, there was a power outage (so, no air con) and the state was on fire - what a day for a photo shoot! Louis was even stuck under the shower a few times to avoid overheating completely. But when it came time for the final shots, the little boys performed like Possum Magic! |
