It is with great sadness that we watch Rob Hunt retire from leading the Bendigo & Adelaide Bank, but all at JIMMY POSSUM have been honoured to have dealt with Rob since the inception of our business. Margot Spalding (Mrs Possum) recently spoke at Rob's retirement dinner and spoke of how inspiring Rob Hunt has been to her, Alan (Mr Possum) and the greater community. Rob Hunt is an exceptional leader who is loved and admired by the entire Bendigo & Adelaide Bank staff. We wish him all the best and hope he enjoys his new Willi wingback chair and footstool which formed part of the retirement gift from the bank.

If you have ever been into our Clifton Hill store you've no doubt come across our larger than life Gerald... and perhaps have even had a sneak peek at his beloved Willi (his dog of course!). The recently released and highly anticipated wingback chair collection has been named in Willi's honour. Available in high back, low back, and coordinating footstool... When Jimmy met 'Parky' (Sir Michael Parkinson)... |
| |
| |
Michael Parkinson quite simply, loves chairs and they are an issue over which he is "pernickety to the point of being obsessive," he has said. "I've done so many talk shows where you are sitting down with your knees on your bloody chin and you can't see anything, or the guests have to lean forward to see the host, which is never a good idea. A lot of thought has gone into the kinds of chair we have and the positioning of those chairs." So, it is no suprise that the ever so stylish JIMMY POSSUM Perri Occasional chairs were chosen as 'the seat of choice' for his only Australian show in Perth earlier this year. It also comes as no suprise that Parky said the chairs were 'too comfortable' and that he could have fallen asleep in them!
Not only was the beautiful Perri Occasional chairs centre stage, Sir Michael Parkinson offered to autograph the bottom of them so that JIMMY POSSUM can auction them off with all proceeds going to charity.

When Jimmy met 'Brumby' (Victorian Premier)... |

Premier John Brumby, along with member for Bendigo East, Jacinta Allan, were at Possum HQ in March 5th to announce the commencement of the new WorkHealth program. JIMMY POSSUM is considered by the Victorian State Government to be a leader in proactively supporting the health and wellbeing of our staff, and after the launch, the Premier and team enjoyed a few hours touring our factory, chatting to the Possums and testing out our comfy furniture!

| When Jimmy met 'Jacinta' (Victorian Minister for Regional Development and Skills)... |
Jacinta Allan, member for Bendigo East, popped out to Possum Central in April to check out what was new and exciting in the world of JIMMY POSSUM.
As always, there's a lot happening around the Possum traps, and after being met by Margot and Alan Spalding (The Possum Parents), Jacinta and her team chatted with JIMMY POSSUM staff and were treated to a tour of the factory. Most importantly, Jacinta was given a sneak peek of our sensational stand for 'Designex' - Australia's Premier Design Event, and was excited to test out some of the super stylish new products being shown! |
