At JIMMY POSSUM we live by the tenet that if we can design and produce a product or service ourselves, here in Australia, then that's what we do. We apply this philosophy to our furniture designs, our manufacturing process, our sensational retail stores, our delivery teams, our trucks... you name it! So it will come as no suprise to learn that we paint ALL of our exclusive artwork for each of our seven stores as well. Possum Paintings are original works of Australian contemporary art and are painted exclusively by members of the Possum family, mostly by Jessica (a baby possum) but Mr and Mrs Possum (Alan & Margot Spalding) are never too far away and often can be caught sneaking time in the studio, paintbrush in hand! All paintings are designed to complement our beautiful JIMMY POSSUM product and that's why when you walk into one of our stores, instantly the Possum paintings look picture perfect in any setting. Yet, Possum paintings also work cleverly as stand alone statement pieces.
